Save a recipe from any link or app

Import from websites, YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and more, straight from the share sheet or a pasted link.

Found a recipe somewhere? RecipeOwl turns it into a clean recipe with ingredients, steps, a photo and nutrition. No ads, no life story.

From another app

  1. Open the recipe in the app where you found it: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Safari or anything else.
  2. Tap its Share button and choose RecipeOwl.
  3. RecipeOwl opens and shows Recipe found. Tap Import.

Don't see RecipeOwl in the share sheet? Scroll to the end of the row of apps, tap More, and turn RecipeOwl on.

In My Recipes, tap +, paste the link into the link field and tap the arrow. Websites, YouTube, TikTok and Instagram all work.

Search YouTube

Tap +, then Search YouTube Recipes. Search for a dish, pick a video, and RecipeOwl imports the recipe from it.

While it imports

A card appears at the top of My Recipes and shows each step as it goes. If something goes wrong, the card stays put with Retry, so nothing is lost.

  • You can keep using the app. Several imports can run at once.
  • Closing the app doesn't lose the import. The import carries on when you come back.
  • To stop an import, tap ✕ on its card.
  • Importing a recipe you already have won't make a copy. RecipeOwl points you to the one in your library.

If an import keeps failing, see Troubleshooting.
