Instructions
1Prepare the Chicken Chapli Patties
20m
Combine Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine chicken mince, crushed coriander, dried pomegranate seeds, red chilli flakes, red chilli powder, salt, cumin powder, whole spices, ginger paste, garlic paste, chopped green chillies, chopped mint leaves, chopped coriander, finely chopped onion, egg, corn flour, and bread crumbs.
Mix Well
Mix all the ingredients thoroughly with your hands until well combined. Ensure the spices and other ingredients are evenly distributed throughout the chicken mince.
Rest the Mixture
Cover the bowl and let the mixture rest in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. This allows the flavors to meld and makes the patties easier to shape.
2Prepare the Sauces
10m
Make Green Sauce
In a blender or food processor, combine curd, mayonnaise, chili garlic sauce, BBQ sauce, garlic cloves, chopped green chillies, mint leaves, coriander leaves, cumin powder, and black salt. Grind until smooth to make the green sauce.
Make BBQ Sauce
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, chili garlic sauce, and BBQ sauce. Mix well until a smooth, creamy sauce is formed.
3Shape and Cook the Patties
15m
Grease Hands and Shape
Grease your hands lightly with oil to prevent sticking. Take a portion of the chicken mixture and shape it into a flat, round patty, similar to a burger patty.
Heat Oil
Heat about 1/4 cup of cooking oil in a non-stick skillet or cast iron pan over medium heat.
Fry the Patties
Carefully place the shaped patties into the hot oil. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Adjust heat as needed to prevent burning.
Drain Excess Oil
Once cooked, remove the patties from the pan and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain any excess oil.
4Assemble the Burgers
5m
Prepare Buns
Slice the burger buns in half horizontally. Spread a generous amount of the green sauce on the bottom half of each bun.
Add Lettuce and Patty
Place a few lettuce leaves on top of the green sauce. Then, carefully place a cooked chicken chapli patty on top of the lettuce.
Add Toppings
Layer tomato slices, cucumber slices, and onion rings on top of the chicken patty.
Add Sauce and Top Bun
Drizzle some of the BBQ sauce over the toppings. Finally, place the top half of the burger bun to complete the burger.
Serve
Serve the chicken chapli burgers immediately with french fries on the side.
Tips
Ensure the chicken mince is not too lean, as some fat helps keep the patties moist.
Do not overmix the patty mixture, as this can make the burgers tough.
Adjust the spice level according to your preference by increasing or decreasing the red chilli flakes and powder.
For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of garam masala to the patty mixture.
